Ruth Percilla Ellison, 79, of Summerville, Georgia, died on Monday, March 30, 2015 at her home.
Mrs. Ellison was born December 31, 1935 in Little Sand Mtn, GA. She was the daughter of the late Clarence and Annie Belle Fincher Winters. She was retired from Mohawk, where she was a member of the 25 year Elite Club. Other than her parents, Mrs. Ellison was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Jaytee Ellison; and brothers, Grady Winters and James Winters.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Rickey and Janet Ellison; sisters and brother-in-law, Lena Ingle and Betty and Oliver Brown; brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Jenny Winters; sister-in-law, Nell Winters; grandchildren, Michael Ellison, Matthew Ellison, and B. J. Ellison; five great-grandchildren; a special cousin, Alice Herring; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. on Wednesday, April 1, with Brother Glenn Wilbanks officiating, and with the eulogy by Matthew Patrick Ellison. Burial will follow in Oakhill Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Ken Reynolds, Melvin Ellison, Marty Ellison, Jeff Warren, Travis Maxey, and Stacy Brown.
Mrs. Ellison will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from noon until the service hour on Wednesday.
