Christopher Provost
Christopher A. Provost, PE, has joined Barge, Waggoner, Sumner & Cannon, Inc., as Chief Strategies Officer.
“Our focus on client services is one of our strategic initiatives at Barge Waggoner,” said Bob Higgins, Chief Executive Officer. “So I am thrilled to welcome Chris to our leadership team. He brings a wealth of experience in strategic planning, client relations, and business development.
Provost has 30 years of engineering experience, specifically with water, environmental and transportation projects.
He has served in all project-related roles throughout the southeastern United States and has managed a multitude of large and small projects for a variety of public and private sector clients.
Most recently, Provost served as Senior Vice President at CDM Smith in Nashville. His professional career includes work in several CDM Smith offices in Florida, Georgia and Tennessee as well as work with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Region IV serving in several water and remediation programs.
He is associated with the following professional organizations: American Water Works Association, American Society of Civil Engineers and the Tennessee Chapter of the American Consulting Engineers Council. He has previously served as Chair of the Kentucky-Tennessee Water Environment Association Government Relations Committee and Co-Chair of the Watershed Committee.
Mr. Provost earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Tennessee Technological University. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in Tennessee, Georgia, and Florida as well as a Board Certified Environmental Engineer (BCEE).
