Rhonda Sue Rogers, 59, of Chatsworth, GA, died Monday, March 30, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loving family. 

Rhonda was born November 5, 1955 in Atlanta, GA. Rhonda was a very caring, kind and gentle person.  She loved riding the motorcycle with her husband and spending time with her family.  She was a member of Faith Worship Center and was so proud of the fact that she received the baptism of the Holy Ghost a week before she made her transition to heaven.  During the past several years of her declining health she never once complained.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Ray Bearden; her mother and step-father, Wilma and Johnny Cantrell; and her brother, David Bearden.  


She is survived by her loving husband, Johnny Rogers; sons and daughters-in-law, James and Diane Duckett, Jr. of Ellijay, GA and Nathan and Cindy Duckett of Chatsworth, GA; grandchildren, Jake Duckett, Kyle Duckett, Chad Duckett and Matthew Duckett; her very special companion which she referred to as “her little girl” her dog, Tipper; sister and brother-in-law, Tommie and Brad Brown of Chatsworth, GA; special friend, Jerry Dunn of Chatsworth, GA; two half-sisters; and several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Rhonda Sue Rogers will be held Friday, April 3, at 2 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Vince Goble officiating.  She will be laid to rest at Faith Cemetery in Chatsworth, Georgia, with her close family serving as pallbearers. 

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5-9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, April 1 and 2 and from noon Friday, April 3 until the service hour.

Ponders Melrose Chapel, Dalton is in charge of the arrangements.
