Gerald Elam, 68, of Soddy Daisy, died on Sunday, May 17, 2015.

He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Gerald was a member of Boilermakers Local 454, a member of the Boiler Hogs Motorcycle Club and a University Of Tennessee Football season ticket holder. Gerald loved to fish with his buddies. 

He was preceded in death by his mother Virginia Elam and two brothers, Thomas and Douglas Elam. 

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Tuoi Elam; his children, Linda Elam Filonuk and Jerry (Vanessa) Elam; his sister, Betty Clemons; one expected grandson, Peyton Elam and two nephews, Phillip and Jeffrey Elam. 

Services will be at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20, at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors. Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
