CARTA Announces Memorial Day Holiday Schedule

In observance of Memorial Day, CARTA’s fixed route and Downtown Shuttle bus services will operate on Saturday schedules on Monday. The CARTA Care-a-van will also be operating on a holiday schedule.  The North Shore Shuttle will not be in service.

CARTA’s fixed route buses and Downtown Shuttles will be detoured due to the U.S. Pro Cycling Championship races on Memorial Day.  The boarding for all fixed route buses from downtown will be at 12th & Houston behind Warehouse Row.  The boarding for the Downtown Shuttle will be at the parking lot on Cowart Street and the shuttles will travel Carter and Chestnut Streets to Shuttle Park North.

CARTA will provide shuttle services to the Lookout Mountain Attractions on Memorial Day.  Buses will leave from the First Tennessee Pavilion at Finley Stadium to the lower station of the Lookout Mountain Incline Railway beginning at 8 a.m.

until 6:30 p.m. every 20-30 minutes.  Buses will leave from the Incline to Rock City, Ruby Falls and the upper station of the Incline beginning at 8 a.m. until 7 p.m. every 20-30 minutes.
