Walter Price
Walter “Larry” Price, Sr., 69, died on May 26, 2015 at a local hospital.
He graduated from Riverside High School class of 1966.
He was formerly employed at 21st Century Child Development Center and Mercury Cab.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Willie Mae Price; grandparents, Charlie and Esther Brown and Mark and Harriett Price; mother-in-law, Annie Bell Blackman.
Survivors include his devoted wife, Dorothy Ann Price; sons, Walter (Sherrie) Price, Jr. and Anthony (Adrian) Price; daughter, Stacey Banks; 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; brothers, Preston (Rosezetta) Price and Elder George Price, all of Chattanooga; niece, Vickie (Anthony) Hollans of Fort Stewart, GA.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 31, at Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 1800 Chamberlain Ave., with Pastor Samuel Jackson officiating. Interment will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
The body will lie in state after noon on Saturday, May 30, and the family will receive friends from 7–8 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
