2 Bodies Found At Hixson House In Apparent Murder/Suicide

Two bodies were discovered at a house in Hixson on Friday afternoon after police were asked to check on the resident.

Police later said it was an apparent murder/suicide.

There is no threat to the general public, it was stated.

The Chattanooga Police Department received a call to perform a well-being check at 3040 Stage Run at approximately 4:02 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers discovered "signs of a crime scene." Investigators are processing the scene and are working to determine what took place.

The location is off Cassandra Smith Road.
