Zoe’s Rainbow Dash 5K Supports Ronald McDonald House Charities Of Greater Chattanooga

  • Monday, June 1, 2015

Zoe's Rainbow Dash will take place at Hamilton Place Mall on Saturday, July 4, starting at 8 a.m. at Hamilton Place Mall, rain or shine. All proceeds from Zoe’s Rainbow Dash will go to seven charities with Ronald McDonald House Charities being one of them.

Officials said, "It’s time to run through a rainbow for a great cause. This run surpasses the title of a typical 5k by runners being bombarded in colored powder for a vibrant experience."

Tiffany Cobb, development director at RMHC of Greater Chattanooga said, “I’ve been to Zoe’s Rainbow Dash since the very first year and it never fails to amaze me how Zoe’s family and friends have given so much to various children’s charities in the Chattanooga area in memory of their loved ones. We are honored and inspired to be a part of it.”

Zoe’s Rainbow Dash is in memory of Zoe McDonough and her grandmother, Sue. They both passed away in 2012 from a traumatic boat accident when Zoe was only 10 years old. Zoe’s parents created the run to continue the legacy of their two loved ones while benefiting local children’s charities. All ages and levels of fitness are welcome. Costs are $30 for individuals 13 and up; $20 for children ages 5-12; and children under 5 are free.
