Martha Wofford Strickland, 74, of Summerville, Georgia, passed away Friday, May 29, 2015, in a Rome hospital.
A native Chattooga Countian, she was born to the late Leroy and Ethel Denton Wofford on November 9, 1941. Mrs. Strickland was a member of Menlo First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Strickland; son, Kevin Baker of Summerville; grandchildren, Blake Baker, Hailey Baker and Kyle Baker; brother, Glenn “Buddy” Wofford of Ball Ground, GA.; niece, Marsha Farrow of Summerville; and nephew, Dale Tucker of Gore Community.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 2 at 1:30 p.m. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Dempsey officiating. Interment will follow in Ami Cemetery, with active pallbearers Thomas Waller, Brett Waller, Barry Williams and Joshua Jennings.
