The Bethlehem Center will host a Read to Lead Summer Academy Monday through Friday from 8:30-9 a.m. through July 17, in the chapel of Westside Missionary Baptist Church located at 4001 Hughes Ave.

Voices rise from the chapel of Westside Baptist Church as children stand shoulder-to-shoulder and sway left to right, clapping, dancing, and stomping their feet to the God who lifts them and everyone else around. Afterward, the children are invited to share scripture with each other, and define values they want to see in themselves.
Morning chapel is part of the summer program at the Bethlehem Center that empowers inner-city youth and families through education, character and leadership development, economic empowerment, and faith.
