Green, John Bliss (Cleveland)

John Bliss Green, 77, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2015 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. 

John was born in Memphis to the late Perry and Carolyn Green.  He attended University of Tennessee, Knoxville.  John retired to Cleveland in 1995 from his family business in Memphis. He was a member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church. He lived his life well. 

He is survived by spouse, Nancy Lynn; son, William Montgomery (Margaret) of Stamford, CT; daughter, Jamie (Blake) Taylor of Franklin, TN; and grandson, Montgomery Sloan Taylor.  

John is survived by his brothers, Bill and Yancey; loving cousins; nieces and nephews; and a caring and supportive circle of friends.  

The memorial service will be on Saturday, July 25, at 1 p.m. at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, located at 320 Broad Street NW, with Reverend Joel Huffstetler officiating.

The family will be receiving friends 2 hours prior from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturday, July 25. 

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Boys and Girls Club of Cleveland TN 1075 Blythe Ave Cleveland TN 37311. 

The family would also like to thank Hospice for their tireless support.
