David W. Moore, 65, of Hixson, died on Tuesday, July 28, 2015.  

He was born in McMinnville, Tn. David, at the age of 14, was the youngest in Chattanooga to become an Eagle Scout. He was a 1968 graduate of Central High School and a graduate of Tennessee Technological University. David retired from TVA as a senior nuclear reactor operator and after retirement he continued to work as a consultant with TVA. David loved his family, antique cars and had many friends. He loved the island of St. Marten and traveling.  

He was preceded in death by his father, Carl W. Moore.

David is survived by his wife of 42 years, Victoria “Vicki” J. Moore; daughter, Cari Moore Disney; son, Kevin Moore; grandchildren, Emma and Henry; mother, Doris Moore.

The family wants to say a special thanks to Dr. Crump, Dr. Whaley, Dr. Holland and the MICU staff at Parkridge.  The staff with Tennessee Oncology and many other professionals in the medical field with Memorial, Erlanger and Siskin for all your love and care given to David.  

The family will receive friends from 2-7 p.m. on Friday, July 31, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

A celebration of David’s life will follow at 7 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home with his longtime friend Minister Larry Clements officiating. 

The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any Blood Assurance atwww.bloodassurance.org, in the name of David Moore. What a special way to give the gift of life to someone else through Blood Assurance.                 

Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
