Willie Mitchell
Willie Keith Mitchell, 67, died peacefully on Monday, August 10, 2015 at the VA Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
He lived in Jackson, Tn., and was a member of Historic First Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was awarded the Purple Heart Medal.
He is survived by his children, Carlos Harris, Khadija (Michael) Payne, Deon Brown; brother, Kenith (Polly) Mitchell; sisters, Lynn Mitchell Brewer and Alice Mitchell; grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and devoted friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 15, at 1 p.m. at Mercer Brothers Funeral Home Chapel, 501 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Jackson, Tn. Interment will be at the Chattanooga National Cemetery in Chattanooga.
