Essie P. Womack Higgins, 92, of the Griffith Creek Community, died on Monday, August 31, 2015. She was surrounded by her loving family.
She was preceded in death by husband, Herbert Higgins; son, Don Higgins; parents Thomas and Clercie Blackwell Womack; nine brothers, three sisters; grandchildren Ricky Wayne and Colleen Floyd; one great-grandchild, Natasha Higgins.
She is survived by her son, Charles (Louise) Higgins; daughter, Kathleen (Tommy) Floyd; daughter-in-law, Emma Higgins; grandchildren, Renee (Gary) Miller, Loria (Gary) Bragg, Vince Floyd, Eva (Donald) Patterson, Don (Pete) (Felecia) Higgins, Dennis (Amanda) Floyd, Tim (Debbie) Higgins, Shannon (James) Haskew, Frank (Dawn) Higgins; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 2, at 2 p.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel with Brothers Danny Chance and Tony King officiating.
Burial will be in the Griffith Creek Cemetery.
