The Stayin’ Alive Health Fair at Abba’s House has been moved to the main auditorium and corridors to accommodate the large number of health care, nutrition, medical, and fitness vendors who will be on hand to interact with attendees. This free health fair will be held from
9 a.m.-4 p.m. on
Oct.
13, at the church’s main auditorium, 5208 Hixson Pike, Hixson, TN 37343.
Paulette Phillips, Pastor of Adult Ministries at Abba’s House and Health Fair Organizer, expressed her excitement about this year’s event, “This year’s health fair is going to be bigger and better. We are happy to have the addition of the Memorial Hospital Mobile Coach offering mammograms* this year. We will also have bone density screenings* and other basic health screening options available as well.”
In addition to these offerings, more than 50 vendors will be available to address issues like nutrition and cardiovascular health including:

Bonnie Kaczmarek said of last year's health fair, “It probably saved my life! My blood pressure was so high when I went to the health fair last year, that I probably would have had a stroke that day. The physician on hand who took my blood pressure insisted that I be taken to the ER at that moment. Now it’s under control with treatment.”
Dr. Kirk Rogers, of Beacon Health Alliance, will provide a general health and nutrition seminar followed by a question and answer session!
