Jannie Rich
Jannie Bell Rich, 82, of Chattanooga, died on Sunday, September 27, 2015.
Jannie was born in Ider, Al. She retired from the City of Chattanooga School Patrol Division. Jannie worked as a school patrol officer for many years at Rivermont Elementary and also at Normal Park Elementary. She was a member of Dallas Bay Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lela Jackson and husband, Randall Rich.
Jannie is survived by her three sons, Joe Rich and wife Dianna, Dave Rich and wife Joy and Raymond Rich and wife Kim; four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; siblings, Junior Paul Jackson and Hazel Wooten; many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday and again from 10:30-11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
A celebration of life service will follow at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 30, at the funeral home chapel with her Pastor Dr. David McNabb officiating. Burial will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
The family would like to thank the staff and nurses at Summit View Assisted Living and Hospice of Chattanooga for their love and compassion given to Jannie.
