Elnora Rivers
Elnora Bloodsaw Rivers, 80, died on January 5, 2016 after a short battle with an illness.
Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her in her struggles and ultimately gave her peace.
“Nora” was born to the late Richard and Hazel Bloodsaw in the Bozentown Community of Chattanooga, TN on May 21, 1935. She attended Booker T. Washington School. She worked as a seamstress in the Chattanooga area and ran her own upholstery business.
Aunt Nora was blessed with a large and loving family.
She will be dearly missed by her loved ones; devoted husband; Nichlas Sr.; children, Deborah, Nichlas, Jr., Darlene, Carlos, Joe, Eric, Michelle and Alaine; sisters, Corine and Florine.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 10, at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.
The body will lie in state after noon on Saturday, and the family will receive friends from 6–8 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
