Glenna Haney Smith, 81, of Chattanooga, died on Friday, October 28, 2016.

She was born on June 30, 1935 in Athens, Tn. Glenna was a faithful member of White Oak Baptist Church and also worked for Hamilton County Baptist Association. She was a loving mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by parents, Edgar and Sallie Haney; husband, Lewis “Doug” Smith; three brothers and three sisters.

Glenna is survived by her sons, Scott (Ginger) Smith and Tracy (Marilyn) Smith; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Will) Robertson, Katy (Austin) Kennedy, Emma Smith, Allen (Anne) Coffelt and John (Crystal) Coffelt; eight great-grandchildren; siblings, Jean (Walt) Hicks, Dot Poole, Faye Byassee, E.W. (Bess) Haney and June (Jim) Durham; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Monday, Oct. 31, from 3-8 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel, Hixson.

The funeral will be on Tuesday, Nov. 1, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Arrangements are under the care of the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
