Life University Volleyball Defeats Dalton State

Dalton, Ga. – Life University from the Mid-South Conference came into Bandy Gymnasium Tuesday night and walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Dalton State volleyball team.

The Roadrunners (5-11 overall, 4-6 SSAC) opened with a 25-20 win in the first set, but the visiting Running Eagles then captured three straight sets 25-20, 25-17, and 25-12 to take the match.

Dalton State’s Anna Metzler had 11 kills, Ryan Burke added 8 and Julia Borges had 7 kills. Brook Thomas had 16 DS assists and Clarissa Weber (13). Karly Newman led the Roadrunners in digs with 15. Metzler had 10 and Weber had 8.

The Roadrunners will travel to Milligan College (Tn.) Thursday night for a 6:30 p.m. contest. The next match at Bandy Gym will be an exhibition on Saturday at noon against Gulf Coast Community College.

Life will play at Reinhardt University Thursday at 7:00 p.m.
