The New Man

  • Wednesday, November 30, 2016

I watch with great interest our new president-elect speak nice words and a few nice gestures, but the cynic in me awaits the thunder of the other foot come slamming down on us middle class people kinda fed up with politicians that smoke pretty smoke rings and do fancy foot work but nothing changes.

Trump is making such smoke rings and I hope not smoke to hide what is really going on. His cabinet picks, normal for all presidents, to pick friends and business associates. Nothing new there.

He has promised to divest his extensive business holdings to his children and already feeling that the smoke screen in blue is making those words kinda cloudy.  How is he to remove the Trump name from his vast holdings? Again, we don't even know just what he owns and where he owns. Confusing, isn't it?

But, my feeling is that I will try and hold my breath and my anger until he is fully in charge and is making decisions that help all, not just his wealthy friends. I used to be able to hold my breath for almost a minute plus.  I intend, also, to pray a lot.
