Dessie Louise Kight, 87, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, died on Wednesday, November 30, 2016.

Louise was a pastor’s wife for 45 years. She was an advocate for Children. She took many people into her home and cared for them.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Ruby Holland; grandchild, W.B. Davis Jr.; brothers Nick, Arvil and Ben.

Louise is survived by her husband, Reverend A.L. Kight; daughters, Alta (John) Peden, Brenda (Steve) White and Linda (Sonny) Kilgore; 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and six great- great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Friday, Dec. 2, from 6-9 p.m. at Lane Funeral Home on Ashland Terrace, and Saturday, Dec. 3, from 1- 2 p.m. at First Bible Methodist Church.

Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, at First Bible Methodist Church, 2205 East 36st Street, Chattanooga, Tn.

Interment will follow to Tennessee-Georgia Cemetery.
