Barbara Ann Newsome, 67, of Summerville, Georgia, passed away Sunday, January 31, 2016, at her residence.
A native of Summerville, Mrs. Newsome was born to the late Andrew (Pete) and Floy Townsend Teems on Feb. 5, 1948. She was retired from the assemble department of Roper, Corp.
She is survived by her husband, Elva Rush Newsome; step-children, Marty Newsome and Junior Newsome; granddaughters, Kaylee and Serenity Newsome; sister, Kathaleen Fish of Flizgerlad, GA; brother, Leroy Teems of Trion; and nieces and nephews, Amanda Conger, Eddie Teems, David Fish and Valerie Bostick.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Feb. 4 at 2 p.m. from the Silver Hill Baptist Church, with interment in the Silver Hill Cemetery. Active Pallbearers are Marty Newsome, Lee Meadows, Allen Conger, David Fish, Junior Newsome, Logan Congers and Jessie Markham.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, Feb. 3 from 7-9 p.m. at Earle Rainwater Funeral Home, who is in charge of arrangements.
