James Stanley Everton, 72, of Signal Mountain, died at his home, Saturday, March 19, 2016.

A 1962 graduate of Red Bank High School, he was a member of Ashland Terrace Christian Church. He retired from Rotor Rooter with 44 years of service. He was loved by many and enjoyed earth’s beauty, leaving during his favorite time of year, spring. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Judson and Julia Pearl Clark Everton; brother, Juddy Everton and is survived by his daughter, Annette Severson; sisters, Barbara (Lee) Knox, Ondine Stockton, Rose (Steve) Hale and Naoma (Jack) Wilkes; grandchildren, Allen (Michelle) Poe, Shelby (Willie) Cameron and Aaron Bossier; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Romeo (Glenda) Griffith and Mike (Shirley) Robbins. 

Funeral services will be at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 22, in the chapel with Reverend Sally Ensley officiating.

Visitation is from 3–6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
