The Biscuits (13-9) brought their bats to work in a major way, thrashing the Chattanooga Lookouts (9-14) in a 12-0 rout on Saturday night at AT&T Field.

The shutout was the Biscuits' first of the season, as starting pitcher Taylor Guerrieri (1-1) and reliever Buddy Borden combined to one-hit the hapless Lookouts after rain delayed the game's start by 22 minutes.

Guerrieri became the second right-handed starting pitcher in the Biscuits rotation to earn a victory, as he blanked the Lookouts for five innings in what was his best outing of the 2016 season.

Guerrieri's lone blemish was a single he allowed to Chattanooga catcher Mitch Garver in the fourth, which would turn out to be the team's only base knock of the game.

Lookouts' starter Omar Bencomo (0-1) was making his Southern League debut, but the Venezuelan got roughed up, allowing eight runs in five innings of work.

The Biscuits tied a season-high by hitting three home runs in the game: a two-run shot by Jake Hager in the third, another by Jake Bauers in the sixth, and a solo blast by Juniel Querecuto in the ninth. Montgomery managed to score in every inning but the third and seventh.

With Querecuto's three-RBI performance, he extended his RBI-streak to five games, as well as a hit streak by the same number. The Venezuelan has now hit more home runs this April (2) than he did in all of last year for the Biscuits.

Montgomery will look to win the series on Sunday afternoon when Ryan Stanek (0-3) takes on Ryan Eades (0-2) at 2:15 PM.
