Lorene Dempsey, 81, of Whitwell, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2016.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John & Prudie Dempsey; sisters, Pauline Castle and Corrine Hamilton Rheal; and brothers, Robert, Johnny, Howard & William C. Dempsey.
She is survived by her children, Jack Dempsey, Suzie Dempsey, David Dempsey, Bessie Dempsey & Toby (Rhonda) Dempsey; 11 grandchildren, Angela, Michael, Bryan, Katie, Molly, Toby, Ashley, Melissa, Jonathan, Rosetta & Jacob; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Sunday, April 10, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Rab Ramsey officiating. Interment will follow at Brock Cemetery.
Family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, April 8,and from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. on Saturday, April 9 at the Whitwell Memorial Funeral Home, who has charge of the arrangements.
