Residents at Morning Pointe of Chattanooga at Shallowford think they have an interesting and kind way to have fun - paying for strangers' orders at the Steak N' Shake on Gunbarrel Road during Half Price Happy Hour.

The assisted living residents say they find enjoyment going through the drive-thru in the Morning Pointe bus and buying their favorite milkshakes, while paying the tab for as many as four cars behind them.

Called the "slush fund," residents place their milkshake orders, then use up any remaining money to pay for the cars in line until the "fund" runs out.

"Steak N' Shake employees, as well as unsuspecting strangers in line, look forward to seeing the Morning Pointe bus, as our generous residents always add an extra side of smiles to as many orders as they can," officials said.
