Mildred Nix
Mildred Boydston Wilson Nix, 91, of Ooltewah, Tennessee, died on Tuesday, May 17, 2016.
She was the daughter of the late Jewell and Grace Boydston and was preceded in death by her first husband, John Wilson, second husband, Jess Nix, three brothers, Paul, Billie and Jimmy Boydston and sister, Dorothy Tate.
She was a Baptist and a member of Westview Church.
Mildred was a retired LPN and received her training at Erlanger Baroness Hospital.
She loved to read especially history and loved animals especially dogs. Thank you, Kristina and Chris for bringing Oscar so many times it was such a treat for her.
The family would like to thank Life Care Center of Collegedale for the love and care provided and the friendships she had with so many. Also, five dedicated friends Donnie Davis, Linda and Harlin Piatt, Maria Stark and Charlotte Akins.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Dara and Leon Bowers, of Ooltewah, grandchildren, Cindy and Jon Wardell, of McKenny, TX, Susan and Robert Storment, of Stonewall, LA, Sandra and Alex DeDeaux, of Grand Prairie, TX, Jerry Nix, of Sherman, MS, Tammy and James Rachel, of Lawrenceville, GA, seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 31, in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Pastor Mickey Mallory officiating. Interment will follow at Boydston Cemetery in Tiftonia.
The family will receive friends from 10–11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 31, at the funeral home.
