CBL & Associates And Hamilton Place Recognized At ICSC's Maxi Awards

The International Council of Shopping Centers announced the winners of the 2016 U.S. MAXI Awards, highlighting the retail real estate industries innovative marketing events, programs and technologies that added value to shopping centers across the country. ICSC honored the winners on at an awards ceremony during RECon, the global real estate convention in Las Vegas. 

CBL & Associates Properties, Inc. had a total of eight finalists for consideration, the most of any shopping center owner and won the most awards as well, bringing home three gold and four silver awards.

CBL’s marketing and digital teams won silver in the Digital/Emerging Technology category when they set out to create an integrated social media campaign for Holiday 2015 that would add fun and excitement to holiday shopping. #MerryMallidays encouraged shoppers to post, tweet, like, and share and resulted in more than 22.5 million digital impressions for CBL centers during holiday 2015, an increase of 703.5 percent over holiday 2014. 

Hamilton Place also took home silver for their Santa Cares program. This entry, in the cause related marketing category, not only won silver but was also chosen by the ICSC Foundation as the Southern Region Winner in the Community Support Awards. This event allowed families with special needs children to visit Santa in a sensory friendly environment; many for the first time.

ICSC will be making a $5,000 donation to Siskin Children’s Institute on behalf of Hamilton Place for this honor.  A check presentation to Siskin Children’s Institute is planned for Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. in the Siskin lobby. 

In addition, CBL also won two gold and two silver awards in the traditional marketing category and one gold in the NOI enhancement category. A complete list of CBL MAXI award winners and entry descriptions is available at cblproperties.com.
