Willie Mae Wilks, 70, died on June 25, 2016, at her residence. 

She was formerly employed at Erlanger Hospital and Chattanooga Police Department.  She was a member of Allen Temple AME Church.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Ella Mae Fife; father, Willie Billingsley; adoptive mother, Fannie; great-granddaughter, Melanie Thomas.

Survivors include her children, Patrick Eugene Billingsley, LeKecia Mechelle Wilks-Owens and Robert Leon Wilks, all of Chattanooga; sister, Betty McClamay; grandchildren, Moniquea Nicole Cal, Valerie Tena Lyle, Brittney Marie Smith, Dashayla Elizabeth Streeter, Patrick Billingsley, Jr., Nicholas Billingsley, Clarissa Billingsley; great-grandchildren, Lathaniel Cal, Melanie Thomas, Jayden Stewart, Mekhi Wilks and Christopher Dehart; caregiver, Stephanie Penn.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on  Friday, July 1, at Allen Temple AME Church with Pastor Harris officiating. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Gardens.

The body will lie in state after noon on Thursday, June 30, at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
