Jimmy R. Ridley, 73, of Tunnel Hill, Georgia, passed away Thursday, June 30, 2016 at his residence.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank & Frances Ridley.
He was an avid hunter and loved motorcycles. He was a member of Cherokee Valley Baptist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Barbara Carr Ridley; daughter & son-in-law, Vita & Darren Lanning of Dalton; son & daughter-in-law, Franky & Stacey Ridley of Tunnel Hill; sister & brother-in-law, Kathy & Randy Spivey of Dalton; grandchildren, Sierra Ridley, Michael, Luke and Noah Lanning; special nephew and niece, Chase & Beth Spivey and their children, Jadon and Leah; aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, July 2, at 2 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with son, Rev. Franky Ridley officiating. Burial will be in United Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be Eddie Martin, James Earls, Noah Lanning, Michael Lanning, Luke Lanning and Chase Spivey.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the service time.
