Delmar Ridge
Delmar McDonald Ridge, 84, of Soddy Daisy, died on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at his residence.
A native of Signal Mountain, he lived in Soddy Daisy since 1994. Delmar served his country in the U.S. Air Force and was of the Baptist faith. He was the owner and operator of Ridge Propane. Delmar was an avid golfer, loved to fish and a big fan of NASCAR.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Oscar Ridge, Harold Ridge and Buddy Ridge and sisters, Wilma Hawk, Virgina Lawson, Lois Blevins and Inez Thacker.
Survivors include his wife, Paula Ridge; sons, Michael Ridge and Jonathan Ridge (Kayla); daughter, Tracy Briones; step-daughter, Jacqueline Dawson (Allan); grandchildren, Christopher Ridge, Crystal Ridge, Grayson Ridge, Chase Dawson and Kane Dawson; brother, Eugene “Boots” Ridge; sisters, Mary Hudson, Brenda Kay Thacker, Deborah Lane and Elizabeth Ridge; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be held on Tuesday, July 19, at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens. Visitation is on Monday, July 18, from 4-8 p.m. and on Tuesday from 12-2 p.m. at the funeral home.
