Lookouts starting pitcher Stephen Gonsalves struck out nine batters to lead the Lookouts to a 3-1 win over the Mobile BayBears.

The win puts the Lookouts in sole possession of first place in the North Division and gives them their 10th straight series victory.

The game cruised along at a fast pace as both pitchers flashed signs of dominance throughout the night.

Gonsalves was lights out from the start, only allowing one run on two hits.

The southpaw surrendered the lead in the seventh inning on a David Peralta double, but got out of trouble to keep it 1-0 Mobile.

In the eighth inning the Lookouts offense scraped and clawed its way into the lead. Engelb Vielma started the rally with a single to left. Edgar Corcino then knocked in his first run in a Lookouts uniform to tie the game up. The outfielder then scored the go-ahead run on a Ryan Walker sacrifice fly.

The team tacked on one more run on a RBI by Mitch Garver, his ninth in his last three games.

With the two-run lead Lookouts closer Trevor Hildenberger came in and retired the side to notch his 16th save of the year. The righty's ERA is now down to 0.79 on the season.
