Omegia Silvey Sumner, 84, of Ringgold, Georgia, died on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at her residence.
A lifelong resident of the Ringgold and Dalton area, she was a former employee of Shaw Industries where she worked for over 30 years and was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, U.L. “Gib” Gibson; second husband, Harold Sumner; parents, Mack Genneth and Henrietta Ellis Silvey; and brother, Ronald Silvey.
She is survived by her sister, Cornelia “Connie” McPherson of Ringgold; several step-children and two nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 23, in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be at Anderson Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12–1 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
