Ricky LeBron Shaw, Sr.
Ricky LeBron Shaw, Sr., 59, formerly of Chattanooga, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Emory Midtown Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.
He was a 1974 graduate of Brainerd High School. He resided in Ellenwood, Georgia where he worked 38 years for Delta Airlines. He was a member of Andrews Chapel United Methodist Church, where he was a part of the Outreach Ministry.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Edna Roussaw and Thomas Shaw; great-aunts, Lera Barrington, Ollie Stamper and Mildred Jordan; great-uncles, William Barrington and Thomas Jordan; aunt, Nellie Cody Davis; and mother-in-law, Annie Bell Davis. Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Betty Davis Shaw; son, Ricky L. Shaw, Jr.; daughter, Breanna D. Shaw; grandchild, Syriah Nicole Shaw; father, Richard Calvin Shaw; mother, Earnestine G. Shaw; brothers, Roderick Hill and Anthony Curtis Shaw; sister, Patrice Tara Shaw; uncles, Artie Shaw, James Graham, Bennie Graham and Freddie Lee Cody; aunts, Barbara Ballard, Jeanne Crockett, Jennifer Crockett, Amelia Tucker Shaw, and Jessie Graham; sisters-in-law, Sarah Lawson, Joan Evans, Maxine Davis and Barbara Bouie; brother-in-law, L. Davis Lawson, Jr.; other relatives and friends.
Visitation is Friday, July 29, from 6-8 p.m. at Gregory B. Levett Funeral Home, 4347 Flat Shoals Parkway, Decatur, Georgia. Funeral service will be Saturday, July 30, at noon at Jonesboro First United Methodist Church, 142 South Main Street, Jonesboro, Georgia 30236 with Elder Albert Grimes, Sr. as the eulogist. Burial will be Sunday, July 31, at 1 p.m. in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
