Marion County Democratic Party Hosts Block Party And Meeting Oct. 8

The new Marion County Democratic Party will host a Jasper block party at the Courthouse in Jasper on Saturday, Oct. 8, from 12-3 p.m. CST.

The block party will include raffles from local businesses, hamburgers and hot dogs, live entertainment by Plum Crazy, and face and pumpkin painting.

The block party will follow the Marion County Democratic Party meeting at the same location, beginning at 11 a.m. Chairman Jim Lewis said the agenda will be as follows:

Pledge to the Flag
Reading and Approval of the Minutes: Bill Longwell, Secretary
Treasurer’s Report – Anita Tipton, Treasurer
TNDem PAC Report – Flo Wilson, Treasurer
Old Business:
Introduction of Democrat Candidates for Office or their representatives for remarks.

 Steve Reynolds (4th District Congress), Mike Winton (16th District State Senate), Tamra King (State House District 92) and Nancy Silvertooth (State House District 39) Plan Fund raisers and campaigns for Democratic Candidates.
New Business:
Marion County Fair – Katie Tillman
Plan Voter Registration 
Volunteers for Phone banks for candidates
