Middle Valley Church of God, located at 1703 Thrasher Pike in Hixson, will sponsor a special event called 'Chili for Cusuna' next Sunday at 6 p.m.
Chili for Cusuna is a special fundraising event to support the missions effort of the church in Cusuna, Honduras. Presently the church assists with a medical clinic, feeding station, church, and other areas of support for orphans and widows in the Cusuna area. Cusuna is one of the most economically disadvantaged areas in Honduras. The local church has been ministering to this area for some twenty years.
Chili for Cusuna will consist of a chili cook off with funds being raised by voting with dollars for the favorite chili. As well, there will be an auction of many items donated for this cause.
A big screen TV will be available during the event that will be held in the church Family Life Center.
