Life Care Center Of Ooltewah Earns Deficiency-Free State Survey

  • Thursday, October 19, 2017

Life Care Center of Ooltewah, a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility, achieved a deficiency-free state survey.

To pass the state survey each year, nursing facilities must meet hundreds of criteria. These survey visits are unannounced and address not only nursing care and resident safety, but also patients’ rights, food services, administration and the facility’s environment. Surveyors spend several days in the building reviewing paperwork, observing resident care and interviewing residents and associates.

“We are thrilled with this success, and it would not have been possible without the great team of staff that we have,” said Courtney Bledsoe, executive director.

“We have an outstanding team of medical professionals who are challenged on a daily basis to create an atmosphere of caring and compassion for our patients. The survey team commented that the staff took excellent care of our patients and that our patients seemed happy.”

Life Care Center of Ooltewah, at 5911 Snow Hill Road, is one of 27 skilled nursing and rehab facilities in Tennessee managed by Life Care Centers of America.
