LBMC, PC has added Travis Shears as a senior manager in the Tax group in the firm’s Chattanooga office. Mr. Shears previously served as a senior manager for EY in Nashville and has more than 12 years of experience in tax services.
At LBMC, Mr. Shears is responsible for assisting businesses with income tax planning and compliance. His areas of emphasis include accounting for income taxes (i.e., ASC 740), internal processes and related controls, federal and state tax structuring, tax credits and incentives, and income tax audit assistance.
Mr. Shears holds bachelor’s degrees in accounting and management information systems from Tennessee Technological University. A licensed CPA in Tennessee, Mr. Shears is a member of TSCPA, AICPA and the Chattanooga Chamber's Young Professionals.
