House Burns At 1200 E. 32nd Street: No Injuries Reported

A house burned at 1200 E. 32nd St. early Tuesday morning, but no injuries were reported.

Chattanooga firefighters were dispatched at 1:10 a.m. to the residential house fire. Heavy smoke was showing on arrival of firefighters.

Command was established by Lt. Daniel Atkins and his Engine 9 crew members.

They were followed by Engine 14, Engine 5 and Ladder 1, who all made a quick knock down of the fire.

There were no injuries as the residents had called fire dispatch to request assistance while evacuating. The fire was considered accidental due to its nature.

The fire in the fireplace had extended into the chimney, ceiling and roof.

The Chattanooga Police Department, Battalion 1 and 2, Hamilton County EMS Medic 14 along with EPB were there to also assist.

American Red Cross were also called to give extra assistance and accommodations to the two adults who were staying at this residence.
