Special Olympics Polar Plunge Set For Feb. 11

A Special Olympics Polar Plunge will take place on Saturday, Feb. 11 at Finley Stadium.  A pool will be set up on the field.

Schedule:

11:00 am costume contest
11:30 am plunge begins

"Watch brave souls take a plunge in our pool to show their support for our local Special Olympics athletes! The Chattanooga plunge is one of several taking place across our state. Come watch as they jump in the freezing cold water," officials said.

"We will be filling up the pool Friday afternoon with the help of the Chattanooga Fire Department. Tennessee American Water Company is donating the water."

Lunch will be served compliments of Chicken Salad Chick.
