Lee University student Levi Moffett, a senior in the Athletic Training Education Program, presented at the Tennessee Athletic Trainers’ Society conference in Nashville.

Mr. Moffett presented a case study on a non-surgical management and return to play of a collegiate volleyball player with a Grade 3 ACL tear, a common injury among athletes which consists of a total disruption within the knee.

“At first I was nervous and didn’t really know what to do or what to expect, but it all came together, and once I was there the experience was a good one,” said Mr. Moffett. “I gained the experience and the chance to mingle with professionals in the field that could possibly expand my career through networking.”

The TATS conference is a two-day event that showcases educational opportunities including evidence-based practice continuing education units), a society business meeting, career networking for professionals, and social outings hosted by the Young Professionals Committee.

The TATS conference hosted both athletic trainers and athletic training students that practice in Tennessee and surrounding areas.
