Autism And Behavior Services Hosts 1st Annual Trivia Night And Silent Auction Benefit

  • Monday, February 27, 2017

Autism and Behavior Services is hosting its first Annual Trivia Night and Silent Auction on Friday, March 3 from 6-10 p.m. on the 4th floor of the Downtown Public Library, 1001 Broad St.

Each table ($20.00 per person or $120.00 for table of six) will compete against each other for seven rounds of trivia to win a cash prize at the end of the evening.

A Taco bar provided by Taqueria Jalisco ($10 per person) and cash bar will also be available for additional cost.

Tickets can be purchased at Eventbrite at the following link: www.goo.gl/OZpEs8 or at the night of the event, but guests must RSVP to laura@autismbehviorservices.org.

"Imagine a child still struggling to communicate not only with their family, but also in school. They get frustrated and fall behind. Often times they may act out and sadly teachers and other key influencers in their life don 't know what's really going on," officials said.  "Approximately 12 percent of school-age children have been diagnosed with Autism or a related behavior disorder. At Autism and Behavior Services, our mission is to empower individuals and families impacted by autism and other developmental disabilities through the evidence based principles of Applied Behavior Analysis to become valued, contributing members of their community. Many families are unable to afford services which are usually not covered by health insurance and this event will help offset therapy costs. Additionally, funds will provide for our parent resource center with updated technology; allowing families to learn more about advocacy and helping their children."
