Riverbend starts June 9
Coverage for the upcoming Riverbend Festival will begin next week with the annual Riverbend Survival Kit column, which details the tricks and tips to all things Riverbend. You can learn the best places to park, the best way to navigate through the festival, all about food and beverage options, and much more.
Riverbend starts on Friday, June 9, so you better get your wristbands now while they are discounted. Area Circle K stores sell the wristbands for just $42 in Tennessee, $44 in Georgia.
That comes out to about five bucks per day for the 8 days of the festival. Starting with opening day, the wristbands are $55 at the gate, so buy now and save. One-day passes to Riverbend are $25 and are available at the gate. Tip number 1 – no, they don’t sell out of wristbands. They will be available, but the best deal is the wristband good for the entire festival, all stages, and all shows. Even if you buy the weekly wristband and only go a couple of nights, it’s cheaper than buying 2 one-night wristbands. Tip number 2 – you could buy a wristband for $42, go a couple of nights, then let your neighbor or crazy uncle use them to go a couple of nights. Why? Because the wristbands are removable, that’s why.
Tokens, which are used to purchase food and beverage items at the festival are also on sale now at area Food City stores. Most people buy them anyway, so why not buy them now and save?
Don’t like crowds or standing for long periods of time? Consider buying Star Seats to go with your wristbands. They get you a seat in front of the Coca-Cola Stage, Riverbend’s main stage where you see George Thorogood, Ludacris, The Flaming Lips, and many more. Did you know that you could go to Riverbend for free? By just volunteering for two 5-hour shifts at Riverbend, the volunteer gets admission to the entire festival. That isn’t two 5-hour shifts per day. It’s just 2 shifts during the entire festival. You also get a great T-shirt, and a chance to meet the nicest people in the area. Just go here to volunteer -
