Global Art Project Unveils On The Northshore

  • Tuesday, June 20, 2017
The participatory global art project called the "Before I Die" wall came to Chattanooga on Tuesday, with its unveiling at 2 p.m. The wall is located in the passageway between Coolidge and Renaissance parks on the North Shore in downtown Chattanooga.

"We are excited to present this exhibit and add Chattanooga to the list of locales around the world that have displayed the wall," said Tracy Wood, CEO of Hospice of Chattanooga, one of the local sponsors."The conversations this will spur are the ones that are most important to any family."
"Before I Die" walls around the world have created conversations about how to focus on making one's a life well-lived.

Mayor Andy Berke spoke and participated in the unveiling of the art project at the ceremony.
The project is also sponsored by the city's Public Art.

Hospice of Chattanooga spokesman Garry Mac said the display will reside in the park through August. "For some it's a chance to list your bucket list, for others it is a place to make a statement on their desire to leave a great mark on society" he said. Mr. Mac says a regular photo schedule will result in Chattanooga's wall and comments being featured worldwide.
