Frye, Jewelene Tharp (LaFayette)

Jewelene Tharp Frye, 79, of LaFayette, passed away on Friday, June 16, 2017.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Frye; son, Ricky Edward Frye; parents, Gaskel Tharp and Flora Short Tharp; brother, Joe Alvin Tharp.

Survivors are her daughter, Anita (Joel) Hoppis of Oklahoma; son, David (Joann) Frye, of Rossville; grandchildren, D.J. Frye, Brandon Hoppis, Christopher Hoppis; great-grandchildren, Candace Frye, Braxton Hoppis, Hadley Hoppis, Christina Griffith; sisters, Della Ashworth and Jeannette (Johnny) Stephens of LaFayette; brothers, Jessie Tharp and W.T. Tharp of Noble; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 20, in the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel.

Interment will be in LaFayette Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers are Barry DeBoard, Jeff Marks, Bruce Huskey, Brandon Hoppis, Christopher Hoppis, and Johnny Stephens, Jr.

Visitation at the funeral home will be on Monday, from 6–9 p.m.
