BIRMINGHAM, Ala.  -- Mason Robbins hit a walk-off single with two outs in the ninth inning, as the Birmingham Barons topped the Chattanooga Lookouts 7-6 on Saturday.

Chattanooga and Montgomery remain tied for second place in the North Division, 1/2 game behind the Tennessee Smokies.

Randy LeBlanc made the start for Chattanooga.

He was charged with six runs on 11 hits and two walks in five innings. He struck out three.

Nick Anderson came on to make his AA debut. He threw two scoreless innings giving up one hit, walking one and striking out two.

The Lookouts had a six-run inning but it wasn’t enough.Chattanooga tied the game 6-6 in the top of the eighth when T.J. White hit an RBI single, driving in Dan Gamache.

Birmingham starter Jordan Stephens struck out six and walked one while allowing one hit over six scoreless innings.

Robinson Leyer (1-3) got the win with 1 1/3 innings of scoreless, two-hit relief while Todd Van Steensel (4-2) took the loss in the Southern League game.

TJ White went 2-for-4 with an RBI. Dan Gamache hit his eighth double and drove in two runs. LaMonte Wade was 1-for-3 with two walks.

Van Steensel pitched a scoreless eighth inning, but with two outs in the bottom of the ninth, he gave up the winning run. Of the five outs he recorded, three came on strikeouts. Jeff Gelalich scored the game-winning run after he entered the game as a pinch runner on first base and advanced to second on a walk by Cameron Seitzer.

The Lookouts open a five-game set Sunday at AT&T against the Jackson Generals. Game time is 5:15 p.m.
