Icey Sybil Bailey
Icey Sybil Bailey, 95, of Rocky Face, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at Wooddale Health Care Center.
She was the daughter of the late William and Ila Icey Earwood Beavers and was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, J.B. Bailey, daughter, Theresa Parker, four sisters and one brother.
Mrs. Bailey worked briefly as an educator and she was also a master beautician. For most of her life, she was a homemaker, happily caring for her family. She loved gardening, sketching, and music. After her baptism as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1950 she devoted much of her time to sharing her faith with others.
She is survived by her sister, Geneva Moore; two daughters: Jean Davis and Linda (Roger) Stewart; eleven grandchildren, Renee Ledbetter, Michele Davis, Nicole Parker, Lisa (Chris) Culver, Kevin Parker, Erik (Elle) Stewart, Shana (Chris) Chandler, Amanda (Eric) Jesperson, Audra (Gabe) Frederick, Jelita Davis, and Rusty Davis; fourteen great-grandchildren, Brent Langley, Kayla Ledbetter, Mattie Meagan (Jaime) Bearden, Amy Ledbetter, Stephanie Edwards, Savannah Edwards, Lance Ledbetter, Kaitlyn Frederick, Hunter Parker, Josie Chandler, Ella Frederick, Kasie Chandler, Anna Jean Davis, and Ty Culver; two great-great-grandchildren, Lucas and Lainey Bearden; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service to Commemorate her Life will be held on Saturday, June 17, at 3 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall-Jehovah's Witnesses, 1309 Applewood Drive, Dalton, Ga., with Mike Ujlaki officiating. Visitation will be held at 1 p.m. until the funeral hour.
