Tennessee Senior Olympians won more medals and participated in greater numbers than athletes from any other state at the National Senior Games held June 2-15 in Birmingham.

In addition to winning a total of 655 gold, silver, and bronze medals, approximately 1,100 Tennessee athletes competed in the 2017 National Games.  Tennesseans comprised more than 10 percent of the 10,500 senior athletes gathered from all over the country.
