Calm The Anti-Confederate Hysteria

  • Monday, August 21, 2017

I am hoping this newspaper can in some way calm this "confederate hysteria" that seems to be steam rolling at a rapid pace.  My family helped pioneer this region and yes....fought for the "southern cause". My ancestors are buried all throughout the area and my family's cabin is commemorated at the Chattanooga/Chickamauga park.

Without exaggeration...I fear my family's bones may one day end up in a dump heap to make way for a condo complex or some other "more useful" structure than "a confederate cemetery".

I would hope this newspaper would rally around Chattanooga and the descendants of those folks in these burial grounds before the "unthinkable" happens.
