Reed, Ruby Jean

Ruby Jean Reed, 87, of Fort Oglethorpe, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, Sept. 15, 2017.  She was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia area and was of the Church Of God faith.  Mrs. Reed and her husband Rev. Harold D. Reed were married for almost 70 years and worked side by side in serving the Lord in several churches as long as their health would allow. She loved all the little children at Patterson Place.  Ruby had work with World Sales, Redford’s Department Store, Richmond Hosiery Mill and Heritage Funeral Home, Battlefield Parkway.

Survivors are her loving husband Rev. Harold Reed; nephews Jimmie and Christie McArthur and  Billy and Wanda McArthur; nephew Rick Reed,  niece Ann Reed; great nieces and nephews Keith, Kelly, Erin and Christy.

Graveside services will be held noon Monday at Lakewood Memory Gardens South with Rev. Carl Young and Rev. Carl Jackson officiating.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Sunday and 9-11:30 a.m. Monday at Heritage Funeral Home, Battlefield Parkway.
